The Java Image Manipulation Software
JIMS (or "The Java Image Manipulation Software") is a Java based application intended for the creation and manipulation of images similar to Ph*t*sh*p or GIMP.
It is planned to feature a variety of filters (including external filters), image manipulation tools, layering options and supporting a set of output formats (including PNG, JPEG, GIF and a own, wavelet-compressed image).
This site has gone online today. Right now I am still developing the basic infrastructure for, so right now there will be nothing to download. I expect to have created this until mid of September, but I will give no guarantee for this.
